Top Technician 2017 was another fantastic year for the competition, and Top Tech Live took place on Saturday 16 September at the Henry Ford Academy in Daventry.

Top Tech Live was able to offer an exclusive Ford technical seminar as a result of the location.
There was a whole host of presentations including Andy Savva talking about the way in which a workshop runs relaing to a bottom line and David Massey from Autoinform was there to talk about business marketing and social media.
On the technical front, Steve Smith from Pico talked about some special techniques with the Oscilloscope, while John Batten talked about the overall diagnostic process. Also Rob Lewis from Jaguar Land Rover looked at product technology.
Snap-on was looking at occupant and pedestrian safety, while Peter Coombes of Tech Club was on hand to discuss the potential impact of autonomous vehicles.
Also with a forward-looking perspective, Eliot Smith from Hyundai was talking electric and fuel cell vehicles, while Our Virtual Academy was looking at EVs and hybrids.
